Anger the gods.

I'm not against this mechanic but for god sake, if a damn AI do something bad, why would I pay the price for it?

I think it would be a great idea if only the player action can cause the gods to be angered because as is, it's really freaking annoying to get punished randomly in the middle of a decent run.

Anger the gods are nothing terrible. even worse is the wand with the atomic bomb in the hands of any enemy at the second level of the game .the developers of this game are sadists. take revenge for something, but for what?

you confuse the concept. a sadist and a sadomasochist are two different things. in your case, you pull the trigger yourself.

my last 3 playthroughs

1: AI spider eats way up to holy mountain, angers gods.
2: gods already angry when i show up.
3: gods angry because of worm.

I don't even know how to anger the gods as the player. Basically spiders come in and he gets pissed or a worm does a big wiggle and he gets pissed.

I managed to kill the god with a late game staff with a bunch of 5 damage spells firing at such a stupid rate of fire that he kept getting stunned. I was laughing so much just due to the fact he died to such a garbage build that I then died to those weird things in the art stage.

I haven't won the game yet but if the god shows up, the grudge has to be settled

in response to people talking about lukki triggering it, honestly im a bit baffled how people even make it to/past jungle with no method of avoiding and/or killing stevari. This isn't a 'git gud' thing, its just a matter of him not being as intimidating as you may think.
that said i can understand the feeling of unjust punishment. I suggest installing the mod which makes it so that worms and spiders no longer eat temple rock.

Regarding that mod, what happens if you remove/destroy the worm crystal?

After destroying the worm crystal there will appear a text "You feel less safe".
Then at some point you will face a giant worm that will hunt you down.

But still, i'd like the Devs to do something about it, especially for people who wants the achievement, since you cannot get it with mods installed.

I'm not asking what the crystal usually does, I'm asking if this mod that makes it so the temple can't be destroyed by worms might also make it impossible for worms to damage the temple even with the worm crystal removed or destroyed.

I just had the Spiders anger the gods for me and i really don't understand why they thought it was a good idea in the first place... I just started playing this game and i have really liked it so far. All of my deaths were my own fault up until this point. I don't get why this mechanic exists.

noita is all about dealing with the random BS the game gives you. steve isn't really that hard to deal with once you have even a few basic spells. really if the gods are angered you should see it as a blessing. it means you get a load of money from steve and you are free to carve through the mountain so you can come back there when you need to edit your wands. if you can manage steve, i recommend angering the gods ASAP.

So by "basic spells" you mean spells capable of piercing his shield and doing enough damage to kill him before he gets too close? Good luck getting those on level one!

As Shard says this is a stupid mechanic in an otherwise excellent game. Feel free to post videos of you beating him with basic spells though.

By the way, on level one it seems the getting a tablet and trying to hit him with that is a far better option than your so called basic spells.
