Food?
I just don't know how the hunger system works. I seem to start at 0%.

Your satiation level below 100% doesn't do anything other then the effect of the things you have ingested. Above satiation level 100% you will become progressively hampered the more you increase your level above 100% up until the point that you can literally kill yourself from over consumption.

You can fill a flask and repeatedly drink it to the point your character will literally explode. Fun much!?

As far as I can tell, the hunger system isn’t really there as a survival mechanic, it there to prevent you from swallowing whole oceans and consuming vast quantities of possibly useful liquids to cheese your way through the game.

For example, a tree to the left is filled with water, no hunger system means I can just consume and consume with no drawbacks and thus empty the tree easily.

Can you throw the fire rock in there and evaporate the water?

Just come back later with a proper digging tool. From the third level you can go all the way back to the beginning area to the lava pool and then just dig through the tree. Idk about evaporating the water and even if you could, it would take forever.

The fire rock does evaporate water and it does it so fast you can asphyxiate in the steam cloud cause it's so dense.

So far I used it once to get through the dark cave (not throwing, just holding it and going into the water), it certainly doesn't take forever. I'd say it was faster than draining the water.

You'll need space though, to let the steam disperse, and ideally a way for it to get "out" to somewhere else so that the water doesn't condense and rain back right away.
