Try some kind of trigger with the tentacle spell.
Try Tentacle with trigger combined with lightning bolt
Or the most lovecraftian so far: Death Cross with Trigger combined with Eldritch Portal.
That's some real unsettling stuff ^^
Combining the electrical body perk with Circle of Water/ Sea of Water to literally become an electrical eel and electrocute everything in the level as you swim downwards, surrounded by dozens of corpses comes to mind. The water keeps most projectiles from reaching you.
Combining Personal Tentacler + Gravity Well + Personal Fireball Thrower on a projectile wand with the explosives perk and turning an enemy into a black hole that pulls in enemies and projectiles, even as dead enemies are launched outwards as lethal projectiles with fireballs that triggers explosives and eat matter to the point where you have to retreat.
The best one I've had was Magical Lance + Freezing projectile + acid trail and exploding corpses + extra knockback perk. it was a near literal recreation of the Javelin Gun From Dead Space 2. If I could have gotten electrical projectile and something that makes the projectile explode it would have been spot on. Acid trail in general will ruin any level.
Circle of Aggression on it's own is pretty fun in the Jungle and Temple, planting one on at the mouth of a room and watching these enemies turn on each other and decimate the level in the process is amusing.
Combine it with the projectile repulsion perk and you literally become a user of the Force who can hurl bounce off and bounce back larger projectiles with low effort. If any sort of telekinesis perk is added, maybe Projectile accelerator + summon rock, and you are in fact a JEDI MAGE how can throw large boulders at enemies
On topic: Necromancy was one of the things that got me REALLY hooked on the game after I had the chance to try it for the first time.
today I had the joy of combining Tentacle projectile with, electric projectile and the spell that causes touched enemies to generate electrical storms from themself.
Essentially I made a tentacle gun that stunned whatever it touched and turned them into a violent thunder storm.
Projectile modifier spells change the path of Luminous Drill, which would normally be impossible to detect because it's so short-lived, but ping-pong path ADDS LIFETIME somehow, effectively increasing the range. Because a spell that costs no mana and takes no extra time to cast should totally be able to add lifetime. It'll be a sad day when they fix that little doozy.
It also works on other short-duration spells, like chainsaw or digging bolt. It's a very, very useful spell.
