Does water inhibit Stainless Armor?
It says you take less damage as long as you have no active stain effect. What counts as a stain effect?

edit: The real answer is: not all perks are great awesome super perks. Which makes sense in a game like Noita lol

Blood and oil definitely; water is how you get out stains, so probably not that.

This kind of makes Stainless Armor useless then. It's almost impossible to not have anything on you, including water.

use Repelling Cape to make it work

You can stand in fire to steadily get rid of most stains. Just get out of the flames before the stain is gone and you won't take damage (obviously excepting oil and alcohol).

Fire resistance is great on its own and makes a lot of other perks much less irritating to use. Make the most of it by adding a burning trail to a wand, aim up and you can shower yourself with fiery particles to rapidly clear stains.

You can also bathe in worm blood which clears other stains but has no stain of its own. If you have toxic resistance then toxic sludge will work the same way.

having a useful resistance can completely change the play style

Stainless armor is hot garbage. Don't bother using it. You could combo into it with repelling cape, like someone else said, but then you'd have to take a sub par perk to make a worthless perk sub par too. It's not worth it.

yes, in battle is when you're most likely to be stained. worth little as is. similarly invisibility.
