This game is impossible
I've been trying for hours and I can't get past the 3rd level and I only make it that far a few times. I could cheese it, but I'd be skipping out on potential health upgrades and loot.

EDIT: I'm doing a lot better now, this post was stupid and impulsive. I actually just killed 2 skeleton mage thingies that came at me when the game said "YOU HAVE ANGERED THE GODS". Thanks to a really over powered wand I found and a forcefield passive spell.

For Snowy Depths, stay away from arcs, slow-moving projectiles, and bouncing stuff. That's only good against tanks. You need to deal a lot of damage fast to flying targets. Homing shots, shield help.

Have you tried putting Spark Bolt on the bomb wand?

Nope, I don't mess with wand configurations a whole lot. I've just been taking the highest damage reasonably accurate spells I can find and slap them onto the fastest firing wand I have.

... Yaaarp. You will need to play the game if you want to play the game, friend =p

Dig you some escape tunnels, bottle some useful fluids to drop down on your foes, get some bouncy sawblades on the go, mine lots of gold early if you can, so you don't have to do as much crawling for corpsegold later on.

.. but above all, customise the damn wands, you crazy person.

This is why the game is impossible.

The game is not the problem.

Impossible? No. Just really really hard.
You have to know the ins and outs of the game to stand a chance in the later dungeons... that and a bit of luck of course. Careful play combined with proper exploration will yield you, in most cases at least, enough to be able to beat the game.

Wand configuration is key. I just beat the final boss in like 3 seconds by using 3 heavily modified bouncing bursts (green bouncy balls?) that i found on level 1. And a fast wand ofc.

Modifying wands is also fun, even if a bit dangerous:

Roguelikes typically are quite difficult. Don't be discouraged though. Although I do recommend wand customization.

Wonderful.

Not gonna lie, that gatling armageddon wand is awesome...but I was able to beat the final boss with a wand with 2 tentacle spells with just a couple mods like speed, damage up, and fire trail.
Have a weird feeling the tentacle is weak to some things but wtf op to others...boss for example.

In a well designed game losing is fun. Use this as your motivation to git gud and then you can go on to git gud at all kinds of hard games and bask in the joy of non-casual enlightenment.

Or folks can just play a better, more polished game. This one is still EA, so development could stop at anytime.
