Terraria is a sandbox with crafting, building and exploring while Noita is a rougelike which is purely focused on combat.
Noita is a falling sand game roguelite dungeon crawler where once you die you can't come back and have to start a brand new run (unless you get the extra life perk) and you are given a new world every time you start, and most things are randomly generated like wands and enemy placement and things.
Yes objective is to reach the end. Explore horizontally first then down to the portal to the next levels. You need to find wands, spells, health ext, and items to make the journey more manageable. Also, you need gold from killing enemies for the shops to buy even more powerful spells . If you just rush through levels you will quickly find yourself outgunned and outclassed.
Aside from the levels that you go through the portals to access, there are loads of secret areas just by exploring the sectors.
