Resolution wont change
Basically what the title says. I'm trying to lower the resolution so I can run the game better but when I apply, no change is made. I even tried 320 x 240. No change.

There should be an option for low resolution rendering or something.

There is, I used it. I said that already. When I change the resolution setting, it doesn't apply. In fact it seems like none of the settings actually apply.

Are you running in fullscreen? Windowed? Vsync on?

I've tried all the window setting, real and windowed fullscreen don't have any difference. I can change the resolution in windowed but I don't wanna play in a small window. I've tried with Vsync on and off. It doesn't seem to make a difference

I've also noticed that when I change resolution settings and it brings up the "Do you want to keep the new display settings?" box, that once the number hits 0, it starts counting backwards. That seems kind of counter intuitive to the point of that box.

i was able to change my resolution to 320 x 240 but i did not know i was in windowed mode and for some reason the game does not show me the pause menu now so im stuck with 320 x 240 windowed and it will not let me fix it.

Open your file browser.

Type this into the file browser:

%appdata%\..\LocalLow\Nolla_Games_Noita\save_shared

Then delete the config file

Launch the game.

Yeah I would like this to get fixed because I don't play on a real good computer and lowering resolution normally fixes my problem but I can't do it here.

It does work. If I had to guess it's an issue with saving the config file. Try running noita as admin?
Boba194230 Nov 6, 2019 @ 2:45pm
I can't
Sinsling Nov 6, 2019 @ 2:59pm
Cant run as admin or cant get it to work? If you dont have admin control, can you ask whoever does to set up noita to be able to read/write its config file?
Boba194230 Nov 6, 2019 @ 3:08pm
Can't run admin and not really able to ask. I guess I'll just leave it or try manually changing the config file.

I kind of just wanted to add to this thread mainly to get the developer to see that it should be fixed.

at least for non admin users

Typically speaking it's not something that would be a problem unless the system had additional security measures taken. They might be able to fix it by generating the config file directly inside the install path.
