Sigils just slap as many dmg cap as you can, you should have a few III at the least and crewmate cards better not use them at all aside from that 1 character that you really want to play with, the last weapon gets harder to get for a specific character the bigger your crew is.
If you want more sigils, run extreme Assault Formation for high-grade scraps and machine units. Trade them for vouchers. Use vouchers for level 3 transmutation and transmarvels.
I think new crew are at their maximum minimum starts (meaning level 60 with ~65% of their masteries unlocked) once you unlock Maniac difficulty. Feel free to recruit whoever you like at that point, but know that there's a boss to farm weapons from later, and the more people you have, the more spread out the chances of getting one for someone you like, so you might want to hold off on recruiting.
you'll focus on grinding after that, no point in starting to do it before
2. The good legendary ones are mostly from curio and transmarvel. Sigil enhance after you have access to tier V+ with good secondary trait.
3, Your other crewmate in knickknack shack will cap at level 60. They grow in level/ skill progression together with your progress into proud mode.
Just farm whatever you need to for your main (just the guy you are controlling). What you want is to "max out" whatever weapon you intend to use. (just pick one. it doesn't matter).
All your resources is to go into this guy. Your AI party can suffer in relative mediocrity. (1-2 weapon caps lower if only just to make them do a bit more damage)
Once you hit maniac, you start matchmaking more often (thus making ur AI party useless)
For sigils, you want some damage and some tanking ability. So Autorevive, Guts, Aegis, Dmg cap, and Tyranny are good options.
Also useful is Potion Hoarder and Improved Dodge (probably from Curio or transmute but it also depends on luck)
The level of the sigil don't matter so much. Also learn to dodge/block/jump. These are essential in NOT dying especially on Proud. Once you get to the end, you grind your Terminus weapons, about that time, you also get more sigils. That is when you start building your "endgame build"
For crewmates you have "two options".
1) Just recruit them at 60 so that you can play them earlier while they also benefit from some minor exp gains.
2) Recruit them after you get the Terminus weapon/Awakening Sigils for everyone you want.
Also don't be too crazy on opening a new character after you beat chapter 0, i highly recommend only picking 1 new character as you grind towards the end game because BiS weapon RNG is dictated by how many characters you have unlocked so far. So if you have 15 characters, you might get everyone else weapon before even you can get 1 for your main.
If I can recommend transmuting sigils as much as you can, will keep your party afloat and you accumulate a hidden currency you can spend later on endgame sigils.
Once you have overmasteries, maybe try unlocking them as early as you can, without spending too much currency rerolling them, they can be pretty significant stat bonuses.
Also, keep an eye out for damage caps, if you realize you always do the same damage with the same ability (IE: I was consistently hitting for 53,994 with rackam's charged shot), you're probably over damage cap, and you need damage cap sigils.
prioritize unlocking all sigil slots. via masteries and fate story quests.
prio 2 is 100% all masteries
then prio 3 is forging all the weapons you can and spending points unlocking their masteries. this is best done on the 2 boss fights for the most large upgrade crack rocks, so don't do it until then.
also note, your party will be more successful based on which character you're controlling as the AI is a joke and does better or worse depending on what abilities you have equipped.
bad advice. only transmute tier3 sigils. as soon as you can do that, you turn all your III+ sigils and below into tickets to transmute. even if t1 and t2 go into transwonder points (not sure about that) it's a waste of tickets
They do, I had something like 40 transwonder points when I hit the threshold to use them instantly, and they give you points even beyond, but they do give less points per ticket than tier 3 transmutes. What you say makes sense mathematically, but I also don't think it's worth holding off since they aren't completely wasted either and not everything has to be perfect min-max. ;p
