Wish Gran and Djeeta had the ability to switch classes.

Like in the original Mobile/Browser game.
Id love to be able to play Spartan, Berserker, or Warlock.
Or even the more unorthodox class like Luchador.
Kinda like the protagonist of Stranger of paradise. Not just have them permanently stuck as Fighter. Although it seams like the developers of the series want to phase that out of the cannon.

Yeah, it would've been nice if the other classes, or even if just their skins/outfits were in Relink. Doesn't seem like the other playable characters are getting their alternate outfits from the gacha either. Maybe it will happen in a Relink 2.

The game is planned to get later content, maybe outfits will be part of that.

The developers did say during yesterday's broadcast that Gran/Djeeta have many more skill choices than the other characters in the game so while you can't change weapons (for now) you can definitely tweak the Captain to be more of a DPS, tank or support.

You're also not required to keep the MC in your party while playing non-story quests. You should be able to find someone who's close to whatever character archetype you're looking for.
