That pricing doesn't make sense.
The base game + the DLC together costs less than the base game (for those who bought it before) + the Upgrade Kit. Are we seriously being charged more just because we bought the game earlier? What's the logic behind that?

Yeah it's weird.
Because they aren't going to charge new players more just so you can feel better.

Those who wait should always get better prices.
It's a slap in the face and I'm just not buying it, I'm playing echoes of aincrad tomorrow anyway. And now they get a positive review changed to negative
the dlc store UI is a bit misleading but you should be able to buy the upgrade kit standalone for less than the base+dlc price, as I did.

no, you cant, the base game was 40, the upgrade is 30. the combo set is 60. Do math

No but you could expect people who already own the game to pay less.

Just an exemple : the special upgrade contains dlcs i already own. The price for the whole package should obviously be lower for me because of this. Yet it's not the case. So i'm paying for the same content twice.
its been this way for a while with games that have big expansions. just look at games like diablo 4 and starfield for examples
Yes, that's pretty normal.

Bro unironically boasting about loading up $70 low budget SAO slop.
It is somewhat acceptable. The game is cheaper and they get some money off the bundle.

If you want to see an unnacteptable bundle pricing for new players, look at Dragon's Dogma 2. The DLC for new players is like 1/4 of the price in the bundle :)
Sounds like waiting for a sale is the best option here. I agree though, its kind of a slap in the face to people who were already playing this and its definitely not going to do them any favors in sales.

I'm allowed to like SAO and you're allowed to like wasting your money and getting robbed like a fool.

The Special EDITION contains DLCs you own. The upgrade is just the Special Pack that's included in the former.
wait for sale lads, it'll be on sale by november anyways. plenty of other things to grind

You don't have to be a genius to realize that when this game or any other game releases a DLC, the target audience is the people who already own and have played the game, not new players.

Somehow I'm getting robbed by paying $30 for a regular expansion release? :ggslayer:
