Should i conplete story first

Im trying not to become a god before the final boss in the story, but i also wanna level up gear. Should i hold off on quest til i beat story so the game properly scales the fight to be challenges?

finish all main story quests (which you can't coop anyway) and then proceeed to do missions in the quest counter. That is the intended way.

You could just farm early resources until you hit a wall before you continue the story.

Game is mostly about the grind anyway. It gets heavier the more you go along.

Yeah, it opens up for the multiplayer afterwards. Those few extra missions are just to help you out incase you got difficulties.

Clear quests at S++ rank as they come, but don't bother farming them while doing story. I did it and was Lv 60 at final boss, which made it a boring cakewalk.

Leveling gear is going to take much longer then completing the story. You should just complete the story first and only upgrade a little if you are having a hard time.

Otherwise its easy to become too powerful for the story.
