Amazing how good this game is
I hoped it was good from what I've seen from the trailers, but I didn't expect this level of excellence. Amazing fight after amazing fight, amazing boss after amazing boss, pure astonishing combat perfectly synchronized. It is really the big surprise of 2024 so far, I didn't even know about the release of this game until it was almost released and it is unbelievably good.

Not to mention great characters (and waifus!) to recruit. Absolutely amazing.

Was a pleasant surprise. I was always interested but judging from Platinums latest offerings I wondered.

Dialogues are amazing in fights
It was not what I initially thought it was going to be when it got on my radar a couple months back.
I thought it was some sort of open world/semi open world rpg thing..

But it IS awesome though, really fun to grind for builds, fun combat with a lot of options given all the chars and I like the designs. waifus.
probably going to end up as one of my top games this year.

Yeah youre missing some of the best english voice overs and interactions. Its amazing and comical at the same time. Best since Mortal kombat

The game is both a lot better and also worse then I expected. I didnt think the boss fights (as well as big story scenes) and combat would be this great, but because of that the lack of full effort on the story is also a shame. This could have easily been a top jrpg of all time if they went as hard on telling a full story.

Full agree, I think this is one of those cases where they build the cutscenes/fights first and shoehorn in a story to fit. Game is excellent but it could have been legendary.

I still think Astral Chain is the most innovative 3rd person action combat game ive played.
Easily one of the best games on switch.
The entire mechanic around controlling 2 characters is super well done.

Did anyone actually read some of the fate episodes? For some reason I started reading Yodas and it's wasn't bad at all.

Will try the others at some time too. They would still be better if they actually had some gameplay outside of these 2 small missions.

I've read all of them so far, most of them are really good
I laughed really hard at Cagliostro's first episode, I really recommend it. The first paragraph is priceless.

Game blew me away, I expected like... the quality of a mid generation tales, like Tales of Vesperia and such, a ~7.5/10 maybe, but I got a masterpiece and one of the best games I ever played.

I haven't watched anime for 15 years, and it got me to watch the prequel anime. It's just that good, and if you are all interested in the FATES, I highly recommend you watch it, it has a lot more context than the FATEs, like why Lyria has Papamut in the first place.

yeah the fates are great. I love Siegfried, you can see he is depressed and still helps the weak. True Chad
