without bombarding with the plethora of info in thread i made about it... most likely not (can't remember where that scene takes place)

Almost every dialogue/interaction has been infused with meme-y "quirky" dialogue instead of the normal everyday words used by actual people. Even simple easy to understand 3-5 word sentences aren't safe. Hell "Lets go" isnt even translated properly.

Nearly every character is completely different to what their personality actually is and what they are actually saying in the original script, to the point it becomes painful seeing the DUB-titles while listening to the JP Voice over.

I constantly role my eyes and at some points just ignore the subtitles outright and just listen by ear for the things i know and then figure out the gist of the convo from there. Saves you a world of pain...

I would un-ironically recommend just skipping all story dialogue/cut-scenes if you don't understand enough basic words just to get to endgame cause atleast the gameplay is good and loot/gear/stat grind is fun.

Reading the subtitles or heavens forbid listening to the DUB actually hampers your experience with this game, which is a real shame.

i mean when they don't even need any knowledge of japanese (or hell english at this point aswell) to even be hired, its not surprising in the least.

Its what happens when your industry is employed by people who were not good enough at the job they were trying for so they are stuck in a job they hate the source and fanbase for.

There are some good eggs out there but not enough to actually make things better or call out the practises it seems.

The localization is quite irritating in the way they take liberties in changing the dialog and inserting garbage essentially. My only gripe if I had to pick one.

For me, the phrase made perfect sense because it's exactly what happened with Master Tao Pai Pai from Dragon Ball, and it was an iconic scene, so the dialogue was a reference to that :happy_yeti:

Localizers these days have never read books, the only English they know comes from twitter, reddit, and Marvel movies.

Ain't none of y'all even played the gacha where the description for one of the newer units (another Lowain), they use "Rizz" for the English translation.

Y'all are weak.
