Though for english media that really only works for movies, as the quality of VA in the ENG market isn't too high for games/cartoons in general, even western made ones (not saying they don't have their stand outs, that would be silly to suggest, but judging the overall mediums talent)
Only time it's good is when the character is stoic or an ass, and the VA is forced to be grounded lol
There is a slice of life anime (Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo) where there is a character that wants to be a voice actress but she encounters a lot of hardships and issues that interfere.
It is a good watch, at first I thought it was a silly comedy anime but it actually hits you hard on real life school issues that students go through in trying to get the job they want.
- There is the main protag that wants to be a game designer.
- There is the main female protag that is an art prodigy but all she wants is to draw manga but society wants to drag her back to making art. (The Main protag gets jealous of her alot because of how successful she can be)
- There is the mentioned character that wants to be a Voice Actress and it shows her struggles
there are other 2 characters that also have their issues but the 3 characters I mentioned took the spotlight in the show.
