If you honestly, sincerely believe the former you have to put in extra legwork to make sure your view and side is separate from the "I don't like this so it isn't censorship" folks who take up the same verbiage you do. It's not fair, but it's reality.
I prefer to keep it simpler myself: Fan service is when you give the fans what they like and want to see them happy. Taking away fan service means you hate the fans. So why do you hate the fans?
Did you know when I said I'm not all those things it also must means I'm just like Hitler, please hit me with some more psudo-intellectual word salad to label me more negatively for others to demonise.
That said, it's still a bad look to think fan service is bad. You should stop that too.
