Is the multiplayer dead?

I've just bought it yesterday and barely can find a room to play. There are just 1-2 room exist, some people create the room then just leave it there and do nothing! Once i could play the game with 4 people, they just disconnected one by one during the game.
Is this game dying or what? Do i need to do something like change server, region...?

it says 600 + playing atm so far from dead for a 4 player game . but it could be that the majority is couch coop or something.

Not to be a ♥♥♥♥, but they asked if MULTIPLAYER was dead, not coop. Multiplayer only shows me like 2-3 games.

Well, the problem is my friends dont play this or dont even have a PC. So i search for a multiplayer like this one. I hoped it will be fun, but reality is often disappointing...

Just wait. The game is very new and there will be ALOT more content in the future. (workshop support for creating own maps, much more items, minigames, etc.) Right now it's like early access and only 2 people have done this game. :P

Then they should delete the "find lobby" option, 'cause it is for online friends.
