Blackened Heart Crash

So I've been having fairly frequent crashes for the past while but haven't reported it until it started becoming grating. In brief, I suspect it has something to with using the Blackened Heart item during a battle, any battle - not a specific one. Game crashing when using inventory, techniques, spells during fights

Game keeps crashing to desktop on some fights when I try to use anything besides basic attacks. Crashes out while executing different special attacks with the error popup window on a black screen: Script 'Weapon DRB Sys.' line 123: TypeError occurred. nil can't be coerced into Fixnum I've played this game on different computers and uninstalled/reinstalled it, checked file integrity, etc on each rig so I don't think it's specific to my setup... Resolution switching (F6) isn't working

I like to record game footage, and I found out the hard way with Waste Walkers that RPGMaker games don't like to be recorded at decent resolutions. With Waste Walkers I was able to go windowed and change the resolution and record a bit of footage of what remained of my playthrough like that, and I took this lesson with me to Lawless Lands, trying to configure the window ahead of time. The problem is, the resolution refuses to change in either fullscreen or windowed mode, and going to windowed mode looks.....

"REINFORCEMENTS ARE ON THE HORIZON!"

Needed some powerful music to go with this patch because of how glorious it feels to know I finally solved this issue.

After spending the LAST 6 HOURS working on this, I was FINALLY able to find the issue that was plaguing some users' playthroughs when using certain items in combat, and I can DEFINITIVELY say that it is now FIXED. It was one of the deepest, most complicated, most frustrating, and most specific bugs I've ever encountered in my 20+ years of programming.

Update 2.6.6 Changelog:

Fixes:
-FIXED a rare but constant game crash that occurred under certain circumstances when using specific items in combat
