Max level at the moment is Level 79, If you join an older server then this is where pvp will be more active. If you decide though to start on a new server, then you'll be able to play pvp starting at the lv49 bracket, and you'll be within the same level as other players!
Welp thats the reason i didnt play BDO =/
I am so tired of these grindy mmos! honestly dam.
guess ill pass this game -.-. Seems like people / devs don't learn from AION's grind fest years.
why can't mmos just let us choose to grind or not? To lvl up or not? To quest through the main story or not?
to at least take us through the main story quests without forcing us weeks/ months to lvl up so we can finally do what we want to do =/
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. the stupid grind is what pushed me away and my freinds. We couldnt even test out the pvp cuze of it. -.-
those words dont fit in one sentence. dont play mmos if you dont like the grind.
simple as that. mmos started like that.. and will most likely stay like that because its what makes it a mmo.
people nowadays cant even imagin how it is to grind out a boss to get a mount for about 6years BEHIND DAILY LIMITS
they do fit in one sentence lol.
1.Not everyone PVES when they play mmos
2. For those PvP base mmos, as they claim to be, the focus on this lvling grind just won't bring any of us back to the table.
Why:
I've grinded in a ♥♥♥♥ ton of horrible mmos, even in AION. It took years of people grinding mobs because there were no quest to even get near max level. Guess why it died? No quest, too much grinding, lack of playerbase for end game content. No one pvped because the level gap between everyone in the world pvp was too hgih (which was one of the main themes of the game). Servers were kind of trash, just not worth 15 bucks a month due to everything i've stated.
Why i did not return when it became free? They did not fix what i stated above still.
Guild Wars gives you the option of questing or going straight into battle grounds.
The reasons why my pvp friends and I do not return
1. werid movement / smoothness of the fighting style.
2-- no support / healers.
3-unbalance classes..
4-poor in game custimazation for your abilities / weapons / talents.
4-GW2 nothing campred to GW1.
wow BC and WOTLK times were the best its ever going to be. It wasn't hella grindy. It was fair. Pvp was great. Lots of custimization for your talent trees and armor. Honestly, nohting will ever reach this stage in mmo history again. Not like this a least.
Like why would i spend months grinding a game that obviously will not reach this stage of world of warcraft burning crusade or lich king era?
Don't get me wrong, i enjoyed this game during the beta yeas, same for skyforge. I loveeed it.I think they are great when you look at them in just in area of creativity. But once revelation online hit that Grind spot, i was just not satisfied anymore. It felt not worth my time. it felt like a CHORE, not a GAME.
MMORPGS should not feel like a chore. Iw ant to be submerged into its fantasy world, not repeat the same thing over and over for weeks to get a lvl.
For skyforge, the weekly limits pushed me away, i came back later to check on the pvp and it is more dead and unbalance then before so this further pushed me away.
If you are correctly using your time and participating in content outside of just the dailies on the road to greatness you quickly get exp. The thing that holds players back the most is lack of knowledge even before built in game limits.
Also as pointed out it is much faster to level on the old servers due to the seals (in game boosts for x amount of players getting to certain levels etc). Also the essence of MMO's is to work on progressing your character in multiple ways that the game has decided to include. Enjoy the journey there is tons to do that doesn't require you to instantly be fully geared and at end game
Maybe you should go look at DC universe online - its fun and doesnt have so much of a grind.
who says I am playing it? o.o. I played the beta and got friends to play it too.
I stated some of the pros and some of the cons.
I am stating the truth about these MMOs coming out. I know that The grind is the gameplay for the community in Asia, but it never ends up working when sent into our zones.
But its ok, its best not to give critisim and let the companies remain oblivoius on every mmo release. So that when an mmo gets launch in our areas, it last less than a year, while sucking all your money away lol.
This company makes beautiful /creative mmos, but their models / desgin does not work in the USA at least. What does this game have to offer over those that are already establish? I don't even think it can even surpass Blade and Soul.
GL and i hope steam give the company a chance to figure their mistakes further and bring the game back to life to establish its own position in the market.
Close the thread, I already gotten my answer.
