Going purely by a dollars-per-hour metric, this game probably isn't great value. But would you rather spend 10 hours on a beautiful thought-provoking game that will stick with you long after you've finished playing, or 50 hours on a dull repetitive grind?
For comparison, this is quite a lot longer than other games in the narrative-driven genre like Dear Esther, Firewatch, Edith Finch, which are 2 - 4 hours.
I would argue it is worth it 100% because I was shocked and there is certainly some thought provoking stuff at the end leaving you thinking about it for days
