The gunplay is great! It's a blast to see all the effort the game dev put into making this a realistic shooter. The guns look, sound, and feel so real! You change mags and the bullets carry over, too. It's awesome just inspecting the guns and appreciating how they look and the animations.
The enemies and environments look great too! 'Hey that guy looks great! That guy also looks great, because he's also the same model! And that guy too! And that one! And this one, and... why is that soldier just staring at the wall whilst I walk past ... oh wait now I see where this is going...
It's like all the money and effort in this game was spent on the design and gunplay without actually focusing on solid game play. The AI is about as smart and responsive as a newborn snail. There were so many times where I'd walk past a soldier and they'd just stand there without even responding. Sometimes the soldiers do register you and when they do they'll walk in a straight line and yell repeatedly about 'spotting you'.
It's boring fighting the SPCs as well as they all behave the same i.e. run at you and melee attack.
Even though it's an SCP game you face very few of the actually interesting SCPs: No Shy guy, Concrete dude barely shows up (and you don't even have to blink around him), no voice-mimick beasts, no computer SCP, no Old Man, no Plague Doctor, no giant funking crocodile. You do get to fight some meat-based SPC in an Antarctic base but all he does is run into you and punch.
I don't care if I've got this amazing looking SMG which I can inspect and oggle over if I've got nothing to actually use it against.
Also, no AI team mates? Singleplayer is just you running around badly designed maps trying to figure out where to go or what to press. Honestly Left 4 Dead had better map direction than this. I can barely tell what I'm supposed to be activating half the time - why can't I activate a map on my iPad in the game? It's made worse by some of the environmental puzzles the developer put in. Half my game time was trying to find where to go or backtrack to get extra health and ammo because the enemies need so much to take down and they deal so much damage.

Overall decent attempt but doesn't really excel anywhere other than looking pretty.

Game is goated but ADD MORE CHECKPOINTS nobody wants to be set back half an hours worth of gameplay cause they died from ridiculous circumstances
