the original survival horror style game or the new wave based missions?
I have been getting into the the game again lately. I enjoyed aspects of the survive find a gun, ammo, and other bits with friends where it felt more on edge. Alaska is fun and all but just grabbing a few journals and planting a black rod on the tower then wave based fighting the same enemies and one big version of the same one doesn't have the same appeal as that first story. I just don't know how i feel about the change of pace. New modes are cool and i'm not asking the team to give me and arm and a leg. Just asking why the tone shift i guess? Open to hearing others opinion just wanted to get it off my chest.

Hello,

Personally, I prefer the three chapters of Area-12 (the tutorial chapter, the screen-SCP chapter, and the SCP-plants chapter) because I enjoy the survival aspect and progression through the levels more than in Antarctica map (Antarctica is a great map).
I should also point out that I'm playing solo.

It's true that the Antarctica map is different. Maybe this is to offer different gameplay options to players?
