SCP 5K / Avast Anti Virus IDP.Generic on Pandemic.exe

When i try to launch the game, my anti virus starts to point out, that the Pandemic.exe file is an IDP.Generic. Can someone tell me, if this is maybe an false positive? I dont want to launch the game anymore, if it has a virus.

It's false, we could not have the game on Steam if it had a virus on it.

I've got 240 hours in the game, I've never had an issue with anything of that nature.

Avast is famous for false positives. You pay for what you get with A/V.

Pandemic.exe is the game executable file, this is what launches the game. When you press play on Steam, this is what it runs.

All good! Yeah, unfortunately I am not sure that that can be changed this far into the project, that would be a better question for our Technical Director who would oversee something like that.

Good news. Norton and mostly Avast are famous for false positives.

remember, people, Avast has a tendency to detect ITSELF as a virus and delete itself. just to let you know how badly you're getting ripped off with Avast.
