Game will not run
When i first downloaded the game, it froze at the epilepsy warning. I deleted it and got rid of all the folders related to it then tried to redownload again. Then it says disk write error. My husband bought this game because it looked really cool and something that we could play together. Can anyone help so I don't feel like we wasted money?

Hello, have you attempted to verify your game files through Steam? There is usually no need to delete any files. In addition, are you attempting to run the game in DX11 or 12?

And lastly, are you using any sort of third party antivirus program, such as Avast? We have been seeing a lot of false positives and other issues with players who are using software like this lately.
I have Avast but so does my husband and the game works fine for him

Also how am I supposed to verify the files? I've tried running through both 11 and 12 and this message pops up

Couldn't start:
"C:\Program Files
(x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\5K\WindowsNoEditor\Pandemic\Binaries\Win64\Pandemic.exe" Pandemic -d3d13
CreateProcess() returned 2.
Actually I fixed it, it was a problem with Avast. My apologies

All good, glad it was resolved!

you dont have to use another anti virus if you use windows since it has its own antivirus which is way better then most antiviruses out there especially better then those awful ones like avast and avira they are awful

Same issue, direct 12, no antivirus and verified the game

Try using DX11. 12 still has stability issues and is generally not recommended if you experience issues.

It'd doesn't freeze like the thread states, but I rather stay on the screen if that makes sense and only earlier I could play with friends.

This sounds like a separate issue to what was initially posted in here. So it doesn't get buried in an unrelated thread, either please make your own post, or it would be more ideal if you were a member of the Discord and you could file a proper bug report with as much information as you can. We also have a support channel in there that has some pinned steps to try that fix most common issues.
Hey i am having the same issue as you regarding the disk error how did you get past that? ive cleared my cache as well as attempted to re download multiple times thank you!

Are you using a third party anti virus? If so there is a chance that it is blocking the download of the game's .exe file under a false positive "IDP.Generic" warning, which is preventing you from being able to launch the game at all. If this is the case either make an exception in your third party anti virus, or just disable it (which honestly you really don't need it if you have Windows Defender, that should cover you just fine on its own).
