terrible puzzles
Spent nearly 90 minutes with a friend on Area 12. Was great at first up until we literally couldn't progress at all. It wants use to find the control room after we activated some sprinklers yet we couldn't find anything to progress. Not even watching someone else play through it helped. If you are forced to look up someone elses gameplay because the puzzles are so impossibly frustrating than this is just ass game design.

Instead of coming here to complain, try asking for help. After turning off the sprinkler system, you must back track to the main garage area (not the part before the chickens, but after the chickens, before going towards the sprinklers.) There was an entrance that was on fire but is now accessible. This isn't even puzzle orientated, just basic map exploration. If you had played before the 0.15 update you REALLY would have hated it as there was a ton more puzzles. The devs actually made this part a hell of a lot more linear because players were having a hard time with it. I wish you the best of luck with Chapters 2 and 3 lol.

Then I was going the right way, I was making my way towards the chicken area again, friend was trying to look stuff up so I got swarmed as he wasn't there to help me kill those that spawned after you went up the elevator. His game got a memory leak then and BSOD his pc so he was done with the game and we stopped playing. It's definitely rough around the edges. General game play seems fun but for me, as someone who does not like games that force you to think to progress like mini puzzles It's just frustrating.

OP has never played Resident Evil. I played with some friends the other day and I found joy in the puzzles on chapter 1. Zero issues with progression. The puzzles was straight forward as long as you do map exploration and make mental notes :-) This game does not hold your hands at all times, which I find joy in.

Yeah, I never played those games as I'm not into horror games, so no I wouldn't know anything about puzzles. I don't like puzzle games and bought this game for the shooting aspects that looked really nice.
So does anyone know which way to go? I went to Logistics Division and found a break room with a tipped over vending machine, climbed into a vent but it was a dead end?

Depends on your objective and progression. If you're trying to find the control room: After shutting off the sprinkler system, return to the main large garage area; there was a large door way on fire that is now no longer on fire. It looks like a shipping door that rolls up. Its massive.

If that's not where you're at, let me know and I'll help.

Also in the previous version that vent did actually lead to a small room that had a 357 Mag in it. Why they got rid of it? I have no idea.
