Noob questions :)
Hello there,
I have questions. I know this is an Alpha and changes can happen, I don't mind. That said, there are a few things I would like to know, for now:

1-Is this game solo-friendly?

2-What is the best weapons to use? I don't know sh*t about weapons and I don't understand the white gauges when I pick one. I don't really know which weapon to use at the beginning of a mission or when I have a choice to make between different weapons...

3-Can you explain to me the auto-saves / checkpoint functionality? If I die, I respawn at this checkpoint I assume? Yes, it seems, and I have 4 lives in total, correct?

Thank you. :steamhappy:

1. This game isn't solo friendly in the sense that it is really very hard as a solo. However, with patience and practice it can be done; just like any other game. Do not get discouraged. It will take SOLO first time players about 8-10+ hours to beat depending on your skill in being tactical, knowing when to fall back, lean/take cover, map reading and memorization.

2. After 230 hrs I can tell you that the shotgun is the best weapon. Either the Mossberg or the Beneli. I personally prefer the Mossy. Shotguns will one-shot zombies and soldiers(except the heavily armored dudes), and are even very lethal from a distance. And it'll put a hurtin on all the other enemies with 2-4 shots. Shot placement counts. With the pistol, if you can continuously land perfect headshots then that's a huge plus, but you'll find that its really hard to do so due to the sporadic movement of the enemies. I always tell people to go for body shots instead when facing a group of enemies; the more time you waste trying for headshots, the more time the enemies have to close the gap and deal damage to you.

3. A) There are two types of checkpoints: the first checkpoint is for you to come back to if you use one of your four lives. This checkpoint is near by and convenient. The other check point is where you'll restart from if you use up all of your four lives. This check point is much further back, but not a full restart. You'll find that when you respawn you wont have the same weapons you had. And when you go to your body to pick up your weapon, it wont have the same amount of ammo, just one magazine.
3. B) Yes it is infinite. You have 4 lives. Use up one life, you get set back just a wee bit. But use up all 4 lives, you get set back much further. Rinse and repeat.
3. C) If you quit the game, and come back, you can choose which check point to start from indeed. However you wont have the same weapons you once had. The checkpoints for this aren't saving the instance you were in (what guns you had, how many lives you had, what items you had, ect) its a fresh start. Giving you a loadout of some sort. You'll have all 4 lives right then.

Keep in mind the game still is in development. There can be bugs, some jankyness, sometimes you think you may be softlocked or completely lost, not knowing what to do next. I encourage you to come here for questions ad I'll be more than happy to help.

Thank you for your answer.

1. Yes, it occured to me that it's some kind of 'Trial and Error' type of game. Well, I'm okay with that. :) I'm in no rush.
I'll try the different missions, just to familiarize myself with the game and its mechanics.
So far I've tried Antarctica and Area12 chapter 2 (with the screen anomaly...it's a very interesting mission, but the area is huge to cover as a solo player and all the screens! :D). It's nice to see different gameplays. I mean, Antarctica has a lot of monsters so it's gory time, while Area12 chapter 2 has no monsters except all the screens, which are great opponents to face (I haven't completed the mission yet so maybe there will be other enemies).

2. Good to know! I haven't tried the shotgun yet. I will.
I agree about the body shots... I tried the headshots in Antarctica, but there were too many zombies for me, they were moving everywhere and I was moving too so it was easier to shoot them where I could instead of trying to headshot them. XD

3. A) Oh, ok I didn't understand there were 2 types of checkpoints. Thanks for the explanations.
B) I didn't think it was infinite, I thought it was "4 lives and nothing else". It's a good thing. :D
C) This is awesome! I thought the mission would reset if I quit the game.

I understand an Alpha can have problems, bugs and all, and I don't mind. I like Alpha version of games because we can see the game evolving, and it's nice, IMO.

Thank you again.
