the antactica end is dumb

who would send elite special forces to antarctica and tell them "no one is comming for you die" and then the mission is finished thats just dumb its not that hard to programm a green light as extraction point (sorry for my bad english i am german)

As far as I'm aware its just a showcase of the Antarctica map and it will be getting some love in the next 0.16 update according to the devlog they put out.

That's correct, Antarctica is receiving a large overhaul right now. The current mission is placeholder.
