Thats like buying a car without a transmission and getting mad it wont drive on its own.
Explain to me what "Alpha" means for game development, because I dont think you understand.
Alpha is the stage when key gameplay functionality is implemented, and assets are partially finished. Tell me what this has to do with no one playing the game and it being near impossible to play / enjoy singleplayer?
Alpha is the stage where the game runs, the gameplay is barebones at best, a glorified tech demo at worst. There are missing features, non-functional parts of the game, at least half a dozen ways to brick your game on accident. Traditionally, alpha was the stage where you'd release internally for testing within your own studio and their close knit friends to try out what has been made somewhat usable to see if its worth investing more time into or whether to go back to the drawing board.
You're thinking of Beta, where the gameplay is all but finalized and it requires additional man power to uncover and iron out bugs and make sure features are working as intended for even the lowest common denominator.
If you want a finished game, wait until it's out of early access. If you want to play the game now, kindly suggest something and be patient, instead of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that an early access title has problems often associated with being in early access.
I’m not reading your ESSAY when you can’t even google what Alpha Testing means for game development. One google search will tell you.
Just like how I'm sorry you dont have the patience to purchase something that has potential, and then wait for it to be good.
See you in 3 years buddy. Though, tik tok will have rotten your brain away by then. Not that you're reading this paragraph, your rotten attention span has already forced your hand into swiping to the next video.
I just hope with the next update the problem will be fixed, because this hurts me, but will the rest of the game is a good experience, even for an alpha.
Since this post, the game has got a good major update. Alot of the bugs have been ironed out. It seems the original poster is mad because they were not able to beat the game as a solo. Its too hard. Which yes, the game is hard. Its a tactical horror shooter. If you're not good at being tactical, knowing when to take cover, falling back, map reading/memorization, then yes you are going to have an incredibly hard time with this game as a solo. But this game is all about trial and error just like pretty much any other game. If you expect to beat the game on your first try or even your tenth try you'll be gravely disappointed.
First-time players, no matter their squad size, are going to need to allocate 5-10+ hours to beat the game. To repeat: your level of skill in being tactical and blah blah blah is going to determine your game time.
If anyone ever has trouble with this game, I'm always here to answer game questions and help them get through any part. But I don't answer posts if someone is just complaining.
