They're very different games entirely. One is a more traditional SMT styled RPG, this is a visual novel with a tactics battle system on top. It's tough to recommend one over the other since they're not in the same genre

Why not both? Cyber Sleuth is even heavily reduced in price for another day.

Cybersleuth is old so cheaper

I understand the games play different but which one is better to get into this world?
I got bucks only for 1 game.

Survive is a better entry point for those who never touched a digimon game before. You will be able to relate more to the characters facing completely unknown lifeforms and fight for your life in this survival horror story.

It depends on what you like tbh. For me Im not into visual novels so cyber would be my choice. But story wise and getting involved in the world/characters then survive may be better.

Survive it feels more like the original Digimon Adventure. If you really like it, support it by buying it first month. both have lot of hours of gameplay. and if you are completionist even more.

Digimon Survive is a visual novel with occasional tactical RPG battles. It has a fairly serious story with a lot of dialogue and character development that focuses on a group of children who are trapped in a hostile world and trying to figure out how to get home. It has multiple branching paths and different endings depending on what choices you make, and characters can die as a result of your choices.

Cyber Sleuth is a more typical JRPG with a turn-based combat system that focuses on collecting and raising monsters. It has a much wider variety of Digimon in it and more complex mechanisms for raising them. Its story is a bit more linear and a bit more lighthearted, but still pretty enjoyable.

They're both good games, pick whichever one of those sounds more interesting to you.

Way too different games. This is mostly Virtual Novel with tactics styled battles. The sleuth is like a normal turn based rpg

This is a bad game. both the stoy and the combat isn't good.

Cyber Sleuth at least has refined its gameplay loop.

Cyber sleuths completed edition is good, also the game is on sale so you can get cheap too, while this game is NL whit horror theme that every human characters will die a horrible death.

Between the two, I'd recommend Cyber Sleuth more as an entry point. Both games are good for it, but Cyber Sleuth in a way is better for that since JRPGs are more mainstream, and you're getting two games for fifteen bucks right now.

I think this one is a more engaging story. Cyber Sleuth is a bit kiddish and lacks depth. This puts more effort into exploring the characters and what it would really be like to experience being sucked into a dangerous, alternate world.

Both games look like cheap mobile trash, but one actually is.

If you like battles get Sleuth if you like books get Survive.

It's kind of ironic that you're saying that to try to insult Survive, but there was an actual Digimon mobile game, Digimon Links, and its gameplay was much closer to Cyber Sleuth than Survive. I can't definitely say there are no serious VNs with tactical combat on mobile platforms, but I can't think of any off the top of my head. (Arknights comes close, but most would classify that as a tower defense game)
