No, those are two different projects. I suggest to try both and find out which one suits you :)
BR!

Thanks man
Was the idea a strange consequence or did you both start out together? A class project tackled by multiple students? Just asking because the interface is very similar too
We started independently, not knowing about each other, but RC released earlier, so Radio General could learn a lot during our release, which is a good thing :)
Soooo...RC is kinda like a prototype?
(I'm fishing around for a discounted upgrade)
Radio General just came out. Radio Commander seems more realistic. Radio General has a lot or eye candy going on on the map which TO ME makes it very hectic, distracting, and confusing.
And with the new Squad Management DLC, Radio Commander just got even better. This is where my money is going.
There's a lot to work on if Radio General wants to attract the same people as of Radio Commander. For me (at this stage) Radio General is a notch too hectic and video-game-like for my liking. Enjoy the extra depth of story and choices needed, the documentation and the Era. It is not close to where Radio Commander is today, but it might eventually get there. Radio Commander has the large maps and so much more in my taste. I hope both games can learn from eachother! :)
Yup, I hope this as well :)
- Radio Commander with its long missions and big maps generates a close relation feeling with your troops along the way! It happens magically, without showcases/management... You have a "big space", both spatial and temporal, to roam about. It gives you freedom and exceptional manouverability.
- Radio General seems to utilize short missions/small maps (I have only started so this might change further in the game), too short to let you develop a relation to your bricks/troops. Game-speed is now an option, so I will crank it down to slowest. Would rather see the same mechanic Radio Commander uses; real-time with options to sprint between events! Anyhow, I will have to judge after some more in-game time.
I'm very grateful for both developments! Looks and plays fantastic!
