why cant i play the "dlc" content

it just plain doesnt show up, when i launch the game it asks me to buy it despite having the ultimate edition. then when i follow to the store page it says this isnt available

you were never prompted after like 7 missions with a side mission called "A Dark Place"? thats for the AWE and the foundation should've just prompted immediately after getting directors outfit once the game is done. If it didn't I would check the install folder. If it is close to 42 gb then it probably didn't install the DLC and the folders are empty. I know two people who had that issue and they just reinstalled the game.

The person you're responding to is incorrect.

There are two different install sizes for the game. Both have the dlc already in the download.

The one that's roughly 42-43gb is ultimate edition. Always has the dlc.

The one that's roughly 48gb is standard edition and only has the dlc accessible if you went and bought it. The data is there, but you don't have the activation files from steam otherwise.

To complicate matters, both versions show up as Ultimate Edition in your steam library.

There is no 42gb with no dlc.

If you want the dlc, there's two methods. Buy a season pass key from humble bundle or wait until the next time ultimate is on sale on steam, remove standard from your account and buy ultimate.

Just be aware if you do the second option you need to uninstall and delete any leftover files in the game folder BEFORE you reinstall the game or you'll get file conflict issues.

So, I didn't know this, and have conflit issues. Is there a way to solve them ?

Do like I said in the post you replied to. Uninstall, remove any leftover files, then reinstall.

I had alot of trouble with the DLC crashing when i first installed it. The fix, for me, was disabling certain E-Cores (if using an intel chip) and starting the game. I cant remember which, i havent played in a while, but a google search would get you what youre looking for.
