Performance issues - steam deck

Last night, it random goes to 0-3 fps until I force restart the game. All settings on low, so it’s not a Maximum quality setting I’ve seen mentioned nor an nvidia issue. Just posting so others see for more info

Same here, 0 fps, sometimes I can snap it out of it by looking-moving elsewhere (very painful at 0.1 FPS) but usually not.

As of the most recent update, I've had the same issue. Funny thing though, it only happens in the hallway leading from Dead Letters to Communications/Pneumatics. It also occurs if I attempt to leave the fast travel space of the Mail Room.

As far as I can tell, I can go ANYWHERE ELSE in the game-world without issue. I now have all graphics settings at lowest or off, which was not the case before the update.

I'm trying to figure out how to report this for some assistance.

I’m having the same issue. The game is now broken. It hangs, but doesn’t crash. It just takes a few minutes(!!) to load a single frame. Before the update, it was super smooth.

I found a solution to my freezing issues by entering the following in launch options:

-dx11

OMG thank you, saved me. I have played for hours now and zero freezing.

Same issue here, in the pneumatics corridor and now in the area where you restore the power.
Speaking of which... I've removed all the clog, killed all the hiss and nothing is happening. I'm trapped in the area. I think I'm going to uninstall, shame cos I was enjoying it but it's getting too frustrating.

Have you tried entering the following:

-dx11

in Launch Options?

@reggie.barrett - I haven't yet, I've uninstalled and moved onto another game.
I found the game a bit frustrating (stuck on the cooling pipes) so think I need to revisit it later when I'm in a different mood. I'll try the dx11 setting then.

-dx11... don't forget the dash.

Setting to -dx11 resolved it... Just sucks we lose HDR with dx11.

Glad I’m not the only one who had this issue… just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucks that the issue exists
