Alan Wake 2 Please
just finished it and hopefully it comes to steam soon so I can buy it again and get the DLC with it this time..
Control was an excellent bridger before playing AW2. AW2 sat on my pc for a year before I knocked out the last 20 hrs of the story in a few of days. Very good stuff and RIP to the actors we lost. Not hearing Max Payne's voice for a long time always makes me miss it more. Wonder what they are going to do if they continue with Max Payne and without the og voice. I guess the remakes of 1+2 will use the old dialogue?
Also ready for Alan Wake 3 or more of Alan Wake 2 story continued in Control 2 maybe?? :steamhappy:

I'm waiting for steam as well. I don't want to use epic. I know epic funded alan wake 2 but at some point you have realize epic has already gotten all the revenue it's going to get. At that point all you're doing is refusing the extra revenue you could have gotten from other sources.

Surely their exclusivity contract ends soon and they can make it available on steam. Haven't heard anything since Remedy said they hadn't done well on sales because of epic. I didn't want to buy on epic and it's the only thing I have bought over there. When I bought AW2 it closed me out of the store that I was logged into and unable to sign in or out, or close the app in any way. Restarting the pc didn't work and I didn't know even if the transaction went thru. I'm steam only these days but I'd definitley double dip on AW2

Doesn't epic basically own alan wake 2? It's not just a normal exclusivity deal, epic was their publisher.

I do hope they bring it to steam some day though

Alan Wake 2 will never come to Steam. Epic fully funded the project. The same will be true for the MP remakes.

I'm not too mad about using 2 stores but I really hope epic starts improving theirs if they will start doing more and more permanent exclusives. It's interface and features are really bad

yea the store is really bad still and the contract was for the next two upcoming releases which included AW2 and I guess The Max Payne remakes, tough. FBC: outbreak, the control coop spin off is on steam this year. The Control deal never seemed permanent but AW2 did. However I think it deserves more people playing it. Especially with all these games tying in to each other now, its odd to separate them and not make them available all in the one place just for money reasons
From what I heard it was two games, which were Alan Wake Remastered and Alan Wake 2, now it's over. If anything Microsoft should do an short exclusive deal like with Quantum Break. Control 2 is already coming so it'd be Alan Wake 3 or Quantum Break 2 or such. Neither of which I'd have a problem with.

Though of course Remedy is making Max Payne 1 & 2 remakes first, but with James McCaffrey (Max Payne/Director Trench/etc) passing away after Alan Wake 2, it's going to be quite the switch. I wonder who they'll get. Very interesting in that.

It will never come to Steam. Epic owns it.

I know there was an article about the two exclusives. Forgot Alan W: remastered came out in 2021. Time flies, Oh well. If I get around to completing my backlog and nothing changes I'll buy the dlc over there I guess. Maybe sometime before Control 2 comes out
Yes please. I would totally repurchase it.
The game is funded and published by Epic.

You know what that means.

Not much. Look at all the Playstation games funded by Sony being sold here no problem.
Also Ubisoft, EA and even Blizzard all brought their games here in the end. I think Alan Wake 2 coming to Steam is only a matter of time.

Rockstar Games is funding the development of Max Payne remakes not Epic.
