Post your damn patch notes, devs
Devs, it is NOT that hard to copy-paste your patch notes into Steam. Some of us have limited bandwidth, and absolutely hate having to be forced to download updates that don't even have patch notes. Not telling us what you're shoving down our throats looks really shady. This is how you make customers stop trusting you, and if they don't trust you they won't buy your games.

In case you weren't aware, you're already on thin ice after putting a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Epic Store ad in the game we bought on STEAM!

My question is copy-paste patch notes from where? As far as I'm concerned it's just another game that's updating with zero notes.

They have to have the changes written down somewhere, even it's only in an internal bug tracker. No sane developer makes and publishes updates (especially in a huge project like this!) WITHOUT documenting what they changed - nobody likes shooting themselves in the foot.

Steam should make patch notes mandatory.

I agree, I find it infuriating when a game has an update but there's nothing written anywhere online about what it is and it just leaves us guessing and assuming what it is,

This lack of patch notes garbage is getting so dam annoying. Why are so many games doing this now? Japanese devs have always been known for being bad at posting patch notes, but Remedy is a western developer so they have absolutely no excuse. Updating a game without telling your customers what you changed is unacceptable.

Speaking of which, Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth and Gaiden both got updates today, and of course there's zero patch notes. RE4 remake also was updated recently, and all Capcom said was "various bug fixes", same with the 2015 released RE1 remake after that game wasn't updated for almost 5 years.

Anything else Remedy owes you regarding this 5-year-old game that they just updated and improved? Did your game or save or controller support or settings break? No? Then what's the problem?

They're actually quite good at communicating with their players, and the most likely scenario is that this was a quick patch (what, 140mb?) for something very specific and rare, and they didn't see the need to broadcast it. They'll probably drop another update before long, too, since they appear to be ramping up production on C2 -- and anything that slows down the development of that game must be eliminated!

Minor graphical fixes.

Hopefully, they will provide the patch notes here soon.

By exactly your logic, why are they bothering spending time on a game that hasn't seen updates in YEARS, when "they appear to be ramping up production on C2" and "anything that slows down the development of that game must be eliminated!" Why are they spending any time working on Control? If two is so important (and hasn't been updated AT ALL ) then why is time, money, and man power being spent on this... especially without a quick (seriously they made a social media post with no real information, a day late I might add), they could at least copy-paste patch notes around the actual platforms where the updates are happening. It would've taken less time for the update team to have made an actual post about the updates, even with details, than it did sending an email to the Social team "Yo, the update's ready. Just did some minor work, it's fine."

Edit: also... just looked at the post again... they even typo'd it... so yes.. they really could've done better.

They owe me full control of language settings, locking the hiss language to system language is so unbelievably stupid, i mean what kind of disfunctional human tampon came up this?

Insulted everyone? I only insulted the genius that locked language settings to system language, please read before getting offended.
