How to Fix Game Freeze / Stuttering 2025

I have the 5090 FE edition same issues .. Stuttering and freezing up .. in one of the other posts found this answer and it solved the issues

Go into BIOS and Turn Off / Disable >>>> Resizable BAR

Also you should try Disabling HAGS : To disable Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling (HAGS) in Windows 10 or 11, navigate to Settings > System > Display > Graphics Settings, then toggle off "Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling" and restart your PC

i did this exactly thing right now and i still stutter and freeze

5080 Inno3D 3X
MSI B650 EDGE WIFI
9950x
64gb 6000mhz

i even confirmed at GPU-Z resizable bar was disabled

I found this video while I was trying to understand Rebar . Perhaps the issue for you now is that you are using a hybrid system AMD / Nvidia .. Also you should try Disabling HAGS : To disable Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling (HAGS) in Windows 10 or 11, navigate to Settings > System > Display > Graphics Settings, then toggle off "Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling" and restart your PC

With rebar disabled + HAGS disabled, now i don't have freezing, some ocasional stutter still happen but seems to be the game engine only now, i can play the game.

You probably lowered your fps significantly though. Its more likely "ryzen stutter" than what you disabled, but lowering the fps that much masks it.

the game freezes bro, is not like a spike on frametime, a stutter, freeze and you're forced to close the game on task manager through obscure methods.

A non existent Ryzen stutter that doesn't affect AMD GPUs, seems about right /s

I wanted to update as I have seen in other comments turning off RT solved all Stuttering and game freezes . After testing I can confirm for me this is the case. It also allowed me to turn back on Resizable bar and HAGS ... I'd rather mess with one setting for the game than reduce features for others .
