There are like 14+ vending machine in Investigations. On each entry to investigations one is chosen at random to be possessed. Fast travel away, like Central Executive, and back to Investigations to get a respawn of which of the 14+ is possessed.
I fast travel to the Abandoned offices. There are three vending machines in this area. Operations center is a short run from Abandoned offices also has three machines. That is 6 which is still well below a 50% chance but still a decent grouping time wise.
If you do not get one in an instance, then fast travel back to executive and then back to abandoned offices. Grinding this has worked for me.
Also, when you do get one, you should fast travel back to Exec, since there is only one each instance.
First time I'm hearing about going to exec. I've been told to just exit out of the game which I guess also should reset it in theory.
I've tried that with my current pathing (Operations Corridor for 3, Fra Mauro Entrance for 3, Abandoned Offices for 2, and Sealed Firebreak for 2, so 10 total), fast travelling between each control point then back to executive to reset. Did it 4 times with no spawns.
Does something else affect it by any chance? Is it the same one that's altered until it's cleared?
