Savegames are here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\<your game ID>\870780\remote
You could just sort it by date, move the latest savegame to the desktop and see if it lets you continue at the previous one.
As far as I understand the savegames: The one named savegame-slot-00_persistent seems to be the last one upon exiting your game. _hub is Central Command etc.
What I would do is copying the folder 870780 on the desktop, then I´d delete the last savegame (in the Steam folder) and simply try to restart. If that wouldnt work, I´d rename the last savegame into savegame-slot-00_persistent and check again.
So e.g. if your second youngest savegame (because the first you moved out) would be savegame-slot-00_awe then rename into savegame-slot-00_persistent.
I mentioned though that the persistent savegames are all bigger than the others. So if renaming doesnt work then you might have to use your last _persistent savegame ergo, delete all the savegames up to the next _persistent savegame and restart. Then again deleting the savegames might not even be necessary if the game always just loads the game from the last _persistent savegame anyways but since you got a copy of the folder on the desktop it doesnt really matter.
Savegame-slot-00
And four items in it:
--containerDisplayName.chunk
global.chunk
hub.chunk
persistent.chunk
What can I do with it?
There are no other savegame files other than that one savegame_slot-00 and the chunk files?
If there are older savegame files go ahead as mentioned before, deactivate cloud save, copy the save folder, delete the latest files that seem to belong to the crash (same date/time stamp) from the original folder. Start the game and see if it offers to load the remaining savegame.
I got savegames for every day I played thus you should too, except the crash messed with those too which is rather rare.
There are no other saves unfortunately. Why the game does not make backup files when saving???
Try his solution, maybe it works for you: https://steamcommunity.com/app/870780/discussions/0/5575984402921736390/
