BLACK SCREEN

So i just started playing this game on dx12 with rt on and strangely after i meet emily it starts showing a black cube or square kinda thing at the bottom of the screen and eventually it turned the entire screen black while the game was working. at first i thought it might be a thing in game as i could see the blue creature thing pointing to the body to cleanse but even after that it doesnt clear up. Everything is black the game is working no crashes or freezes but just black screen. I tried on dx11 and it works fine but dx12 went black any idea what may have caused it and how i can fix it?

My screen became black after talking to the janitor, i can still walk around, i hear that she is walking so the game is not frozen. Its super weird and when i quit the game to the menu and tried to restart from the beginning the game starts out black >.<

Same thing i couldn't find a fix for it yet.

Mine became black later on but dx12 was causing it

Turn off the middle ray tracing option and it goes away.

Happens to me too every so often. Kinds looks like someone spilled ink on the screen and it just gradually spreads all over.

All we can do is hope a Control Point is nearby for us to interact with so we can restart the game.

turning off infinity cores sorted that for me... have to start game then bring up task manager then right click control.exe select go to details right click directx 11/12 and set affinity cores..leave on the first 7 and turn rest off
