until apple lets its users use 3 party gpus in their products I would stay away from macos for gaming. They do not design their hardware to play games on. Sure they make nice video editors but gaming on I would not advise it. Apple solution for gaming on is the worst way to go. If want to game get amd or intel system and install either windows or linux on it and you would have much better time gaming.

We'll wait for the new version of macOS, where according to rumors, gaming should be improved, including the ability to port games from Windows to macOS.

A bit of thread resurrection: as of an Apple announcement today, Control Ultimate Edition is coming to the Mac, with raytracing.

Poor mac users spent all their cash on the mac, they can't afford a gaming PC now because they have to save for the next planned obsolescence drop. When they could have paid the same cash and gotten 2 gaming PC's which both will run games with no problem or waiting for a new chip. Apple are a cult. Rejoice in having the option while you can, Macmites. The next drop of obsolescence will require you upgrade.
