On my 5700 XT (with DXNAVI), DX11 is some 5-15 fps faster than DX12.
You also need DX12 for RT and DLSS2 work.
My card is GTX 1660ti, I don't have RT or DLSS2, so is there any advantage to DirectX 12?
I didn't think the texture mod was needed in DirectX 11, but then again, I forgot I had it installed because of DirectX 12 where that didn't work. Are you telling me you had texture blurring in DirectX 11 prior to installing the mod?
You need to try to see if DX12 provides any particular boost for you.
You have a 1660 Ti, so you are able to try RT in DX12, even if the performance hit will be massive. Give it a shot either way.
Unless there is RT or DLSS2/FSR2, DX12 has not presented extra visuals options in any game.
Game launched with both dx11 and dx12 modes back at the initial launch on epic in 2019. It was one of the flagship games for rtx cards and ray tracing in general.
Only reason I wondered is my performance seems much better now then before
