Board Countermeasures - abandoned...

I've not played for very long, but just got to the point where I can use Control Points rather than just 'tame' them.

I saw the Board Countermeasures and picked one, but because I didn't understand what it was initially, I abandoned it, expecting it to return to the list for me to pick it again later when I was ready.

To my surprise, it just disappeared - so will it return or have I lost the opportunity to complete that challenge?

The Countermeasures are random. Don't sweat it, there's no achievement for completing any specific countermeasures. Just cycle through until you find ones that pay out high tier mods.

Not only random, but infinite. You will never run out of them. Seriously, don't worry about it.

Board Countermeasures are infinte random repeatable quests (radiant quests)

If some of the quests dont suit you, you can choose them and abandon them right away, new different ones will be generated

And dont feel you have to complete any of them either
Their only purpose is the guaranted reward tier
