What do i get for finishing the bureau alerts?

at least i think i remember correctly the name - you know, the alerts that pop up for timed missions. i finished one just now, maybe a couple already and i saw it said for like 1 second "Mission completed" but i saw nothing else. are there rewards for this?

Mostly just source and the better resources you get for defeating named enemies. They're for farming for upgrades and mods, and just a way to break up the exploration a bit. Can help with certain Board Countermeasures for rarer enemy types. The mission alerts are randomized, and infinite as far as I know.

They're a fairly consistent source of "Hidden Trend" crafting elements as well as the other random drops. Several of the weapon upgrade recipes call for that resource so if you're short, completing a few alerts will probably get you what you need.

Beyond that, yes, it's just another general farming option for mods and crafting resources.

right. are they all in the form of 'drops' like with enemies in general? or do i get some rewards "off-screen"?

You'll also get an achievement.

yeah, no worries, for the achievement you'll have to complete 5 and they will keep popping up forever.
