No Astral Spike at Astral Exhibition. How to proceed?d

In the Astral Exhibition in the research sector should be that Astral Spike which I need to trap in that garage thingy to be able to get in the next room to find marshal, right?
The problem is: There is no Astral Spike in there... There were normal enemies, bit no spike... I plugged in the two power thingies ... But the door didn't open.
Do I have to complete something else first to proceed here, or is it a bug?
Any experiences to share?
