Bossfights sucks!!
Generally i like this game, but the bossfights are pure torture.
After the "Salvadore", "Refrigerador" and that Underhill "Giant Plant",
i got so angry and frustrated. I lost 10-30 lifes at every boss.
Sometimes, the way to him was so long and then aaahhh.

Maybe i'm getting older, but i don't see any entertain in such a
gameplay with bossfight. But i like all the other elements in the game.

Please make those bossfights a little easier and have a good time!

Control was already patched late last summer to make it easier.

Watch some videos to help you with boss fights. Just google them and youll find plenty on how to fight them if you are struggling.

just lower your difficulty setting

I mostly agree. The boss art design is amazing in some places (Mold-1, Former, hell even 3rd Act Villain given the environment) but some are just fundamentally flawed too. Anchor, while looking cool is not a fun boss fight. And don't get me started on Tommassi. :controlpyramid:

In many cases, you would do well to leave and come back later with better mods and build composition. In others, pattern recognition and changing up your playstyle to match them is needed. There are also accessibility options in the game and guides out there.

You are under-leveled. Most of those require quite a setup. Come back later if you're struggling that bad. You don't need to beat them as soon as you see them.
Merc Mar 14, 2021 @ 12:50pm
At least i beat them so far. But emotionaly it's not a good experience
to repeat fights so many times. Bossfights should be longer than normal
fights, but not requiering super skills. I'm just a guy behind a desk,
want to have some kind of "fun".
Under-leveled? I followed the main story. Is there a difficult setting?
I play on "Geforce Now", cloud-gaming.

Another thing i hate about the bosses, they eat so many resource-points
i have collected.

Ok, let's beat some another badass bosses...

The game's basically a Metroidvania and it sort of expects that completionist mentality -- walking away after a few tries if a boss/area seems too tough at first, saving tough bosses for after you've finished the other sidequests, gotten all the abilities and weapon forms and fully upgraded one or two of them (probably Grip and Launch), maybe given yourself a little more health and energy along the way.

But it's meant to be a fairly challenging game, and if you don't like this kind of gameplay, it does let you customize the difficulty a lot. God mode isn't even a hidden cheat code, Immortality and One-Hit Kills are right in the options menu under Assist Mode and/or you can reduce damage taken/dealt with a percentage slider.

I only complain about the early bosses. Salvadore was very hard to beat.
Otherwise the game is very good. I like the levitation skill now.
Maybe i was under-leveled, but where else should i go, than to one of
the mission goals.
I never use god-mod.

lol i destroyed every boss no problems until the DLC... max out your throw
Merc Mar 20, 2021 @ 4:22pm
By the way, that Jeton-Level with the 4 islands is such a badass
too. I think it was 25 minutes to solve. It's very hard to beat
all islands in that time. Maybe i must wait, till i'm max leveled

After 6 hours gameplay tonight i still must complain about the hardness
of some big bosses. You can beat that "Tommasi" alone, but after half way
success, another invisible enemy appears and you can't fight both at the
same time. Come On! The game always tops it to a near impossible moment.
I still not beaten "Tommasi".

That Hartman at the end was same story. Ok you can beat him, but the game
tops it to a second level of enemy-supershield. Finally i got him, but
i don't like it this way. I lost almost all resource-points.

I don't know, the casual gameplay is very good, but then another superass
boss makes it bad. But it's more good than bad.

This game must have had the best pro-gamer game-tester for it.

Not sure why you struggled so much. Maybe just a bad combo of mods you used? I played whole game using charge and got great mods for damage and blast radius. None of the HISS stood a chance.

You can still see distorted as even though they are invisible they still bend light and skew the area around them. I would just charge a shot and shoot near them and once they uncloak just launch debris at them. I also had really good launch mods too where I got energy back almost instantly.

For tomassi, all you had to do was launch stuff at him. Thats all i did and he died in maybe 3 to 5 minutes. I guess you just chose the wrong combo of abilities, weapons and mods.

I did enjoy the fighting in this game and glad they made it tougher than their other games. Back when Remedy still had their forums up I made a post about having all those abilities and nothing to do with them. As the earlier demos they showed there was barely anyone around to fight. So im glad they added as much as they did. Hopefully the next game will have higher difficulties or even more enemies on screen.

I now finished the main story with the dia-projector. And i'm now
max leveled to throwing 3 objects at once. Even now, "Tommasi" is
not so easy, but the way we can beat it. You get the better experience
only when it's nearly the end. The main-end was a easy run.
That shield i used only once, or twice in the game. You can't do anything,
during that mode. And so many unusable power-ups.

Ok i'm ready now! Oh, the game is over. lol
Besides that, it was a very enjoyable game.

Is there a complete end, by removing the "Zischen" (german) from the
building? I still have some side-quests to solve.
Of all the boss fights in the game. Tommasi Part 2 is annoying because of how hard he hits.

Most of the bosses in the game aren't that memorable or is a repeat or reskin of certain mobs. The only 2 boss fights I found to be quite fun and that felt like a boss fight is the Mirror Boss at the Synchronicity Lab and the Final Boss of the Foundation DLC.

If thats true (I just got it in the bundle so I dont know) then its a serious genre shift from Alan Wake and Quantum Break which did not require grinding or excessive exploration. I am personally fine with this since I explore my games anyway but I am sure more than one person entered this game with the mentality that it was gonna be a Quantum Break sequel or similar.
