That's more likely the facial animations which give all the characters a "duuuh" face (even if it's motion capture).
And Courtney is pretty. That's the one on posters, and game logo... But ingame model is attrocious. It's almost as bad as what they did to Debra Wilson in Fallen Order. That.. thing.. was pain to talk to.
Alternatively, the developers made a conscious choice to design the character that way specifically to irritate you, and others like you. It was a deliberate action originating from a place of malice and spite against you.
Take your pick, then go elsewhere to whine about it. We're getting real sick of it here.
