Ex: To beat Tomassi, I had to hide behind the barriers and pot-shot his head every time. 0 damage to me.
The chaingun guy in Coolan Pumps = smack him with TK rocks and stay out of his range.
It was just the Tomassi and Jesse mirror boss fights that were kinda annoying. For the early-ish game I invested my points in Health and Energy which helped me sustain that damage.
Best tip I have for you is to move and dash constantly, this way they won't hit you that often.
Sniped to save on time. If you go into your options and scroll near the bottom you have choices like aim bots, one shot kills and pretty much immortality to get you past the hard sections.
yeah I died most to the Anchor and the Foundation main boss (who I shan't name for spoilers).
gets significantly more difficult as the game progresses imo as the enemies almost seem to scale to you, Foundation has more difficult enemies as well I'd say.
Still wouldn't say it falls into the category of very difficult though in comparison to some games, if youre speccing into launch the damage from that far outweighs guns plus barely needs aimed and pair it with energy pool and health.
If you played Ion Fury (on UV or Maximum Fury, the difficulties below are a bit on the easy side as far as games go) then you should have no issues and should be used to some of the same core tactics. I'd say this game's difficulty is slightly lower than Ion Fury on UV. Mainly because you have way more tools in this game.
(Not meaning to sound elitist, but if you didn't play Ion Fury on UV+, go back and replay it sometime! IMO UV really tied the game together, and Maximum Fury was pretty fun as well)
It does require that you:
1) Pay attention to it! If you stop paying attention in a firefight, then you'll die.
2) Don't use the same failing tactic over and over, adjust to what you are facing. If one thing doesn't work, try another thing.
3) Use your defences (dodge and shield). Before you get dodge and shield, make use of cover and keep moving when in the open.
4) Use telekinesis! Swap between shooting and TK in order to give each a change to reload. One thing to note, is you don't need to wait for the object to come to you. As soon as you "tap" it with TK, you can shoot it at an enemy. Which means you can hit enemies not directly in your line of sight with TK. This has saved me trouble quite a few times.
5) Swap between guns often. Have a mid-range and close-range/AoE option. I usually run with SMG and Shotgun (still in the early game).
I don't like hard games, I'm terrible at them ( can't even beat the first "boss" in Dark Souls 3 at the beginning ), but I noticed that with Control, it's all a matter of using the right tool for the right job, and if the game puts you in a situation where you don't have these tools ( the right weapon/power/skill upgrade ), you're going to ♥♥♥♥ bricks and try again and again until you git gud, while other fights will be extremely easy.
Personally I hate the big guys surrounding themselves with rocks, and throwing shards at me. They regenerate their barrier faster than I can load the pierce gun, and their shards do a ton of damage. Basically they kill me in 3 hits despite having the full health upgrades and health mods, it's insane.
I only built and upgraded the pierce gun and the basic one so I don't know if the other guns are better at dealing with them. But this is making the last mission really frustrating when there are two of them at the same time on a tiny platform...
The figuring out of the quests and what to do refer to youtube lots of help there if needed.
It’s the cleanse the siphons objective.... any tips? I use pierce and shotgun.

Yeah, Hiss Warped - defo f*ck those guys.
I got through that by the skin of my teeth. I used spin and the grenade launcher (can't remember its name). Also, I have upgraded my seize so I can seize two enemies. Seizing helps a lot in taking the heat off you.
Get into cover whenever possible. Strip shield with launch. Controlled bursts to whittle at health. Look for seize opportunities.
I got to the Red Room and kept getting killed over and over.
Many times I would kill everyone except the boss guy and then he would one shot me because my health was too low.
I changed the settings so that I had a little health recovery in combat and it made all the difference. Then once I finished off all the other bad guys I could play a cat and mouse game with the boss and stay out of his range and let my health go up.
Then get in a few shots and go under cover again, etc.
This made the game more my style and fun for me.
I can't play the way I did 25 years ago. I played all the first 4 Tomb Raider games from start to finishing without saving or dying. Also did it with out healing through the entire game except between levels, that was automatic.
That used to be a thing.
