Quest: Mold Removal

Does anyone have any tips for hunting these down? Would like to attempt to do this before I call it quits and look up a guide.

I have tried adjacent rooms and anything around the area where they are attached but when it comes to rooms like 'Central Research' it goes from straight forward to somewhat hellish.

Look for patches of mold where there weren't any before, some areas in central research can only be reached through levitation so look up

They are always the bulbous growths of mold and can appear on walls, ceilings, tucked into corners of superstructure, even inside a room you can't get into on that lower level that's covered with the stuff. (You can shoot it from the outside.)

Also, if you can't find a last mold to shoot, leave the area and come back again. They do respawn.
