None that I can think of, so no need to turn it off.

The enemies are a bit zombie-like but not in bloody way. Not sure how much that would bother you. They sort of turn to dust/smoke on death.

you can't turn it off, but it's not a particularly gory game. The only thing I would call gory is the suicide bomber enemy does leave some meaty chunks after they explode.

I've noticed since I started playing(though I have at least seen blood on the floor in places), I just assumed there was because of the mature 17+ ESRB rating

Eh. Not really. It's just that more people are playing games. Not everyone grows up loving horror or bloody action. That's fine.

:steamthis::steamthis:Didn't think about the bloodstains. Apologies.

Yeah,I'm in it for the story and exploration it's the only reason I'd play a horror game at all like the bioshock and system shock series(Still won't play RE or any other pure horror focused game with high maturity ratings though (definitely no adult rated stuff)).Once I've seen the enemy's I have to fight I'm fine,I just hate blood gore and especially jump scares and being chased(you can't explore if you've got a monster breathing down your neck!), not that I've ever played a game where that happened, so if I can turn them off I'm good but in some games you have to go into an "ini" file to do it, that's why I ask if I can't find any posts or other info about it.

Blood stains on the floor from off screen deaths and don't forget about the poor refrigerator guy. Other than that, the game is more creepy than gory.

Trust me...you don't.

I won't spoil it, but needless to say, he still haunts my dreams.

Is seeing him avoidable? Should I just stay away from fridges then?

it'll be VERY obvious when you get to the Refrigerator guy, so you probably don't need to worry about fridges in general. So as not to spoil anything... whatever happens all happens off screen, you hear screaming, and then there are more blood splatters on the walls. You don't really see anything more gory than other parts of the game... you just feel real sorry for the guy.

But to answer your question, yes. it is avoidable, you can meet fridge guy, he'll ask you for help and you can just.... not do the mission.

I see,I just thought you find a dead guy who tried to hide fromThe hiss in a fridge at some point in the game and you could just not open said fridge. How will I know it's him? Will his mission actually involve a fridge or is that just coincidence cause he gets killed near a fridge and ends up in it somehow?

You'll hear him yelling from down a hallway and find him sitting in a locked room with a glass wall facing a fridge.

Just don't do the quest.
