Which by its nature renders the game at a lower than native resolution.
This isn't a bug. It's PEBKAC.
Actually it is a bug and it has been pointed out by PC gamer and OZRAC games. And since even with DSLL off you can not turn the rendering resolution up higher than 2293X960 it without doubt a bug in the rendering system.

DLSS disabled.

DLSS enabled.

The game not rendering above 1707x960 is how DLSS functions.
Again. This is a PEBKAC issue.
https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Control#Blurry_textures
But again: This is not a render resolution issue.
It is NOT though, I have turned off DSLL and still can not turn up the renderer resolution to higher than 2293X960 and I have a 3440X1440P monitor. Plus like I said PC gamer has stated it is a issue as well.
2293x960 is 2/3 of 3440x1440.
2/3 is the standard "quality" setting for DLSS.
You're either changing the wrong setting or something is horribly broken for you and the idiot from pc gamer.
And seriously. It's DLSS. Not DSLL.
Certainly not changing the wrong setting and nothing is broken on my end just in the game it is a rendering issue and texture issue and a problem with how Remedy have implemented DLSS.
Just your understanding of it.
Do me a favor and link this article that supposedly backs your claims?
Because the only one I could find that even mentions the 1707x960 resolution is the article about the DLSS implementation and it explaining the resolutions that DLSS upsamples from.
It is NOT a downscaling technology thus it can not work as you expect it to.
The reason that it is not a downscaling technology is that it is used to INCREASE the fps which is unlikely to happen if you calculate in higher resolutions and downscale it later.

You are talking about supersampling: https://www.howtogeek.com/316682/how-to-run-pc-games-at-resolutions-higher-than-your-monitor-with-supersampling/
