Charger.....the suicide weapon >_<
Charger is a very good all around weapon against bosses and enemy groups.
The problem is that.......I have no idea if it´s a bug or else but this weapon has like 80% chance to kill me when I use it.

I have a speed shot augment (500% speed), a blast radius and a damage augment.

Thing is that, each time I use this weapon during a fight and I fly way up.......I get either caught into the blast radius or the "charge blows off in my face" and insta kills me.

Shooting an object or against a wall that is 20 meters away still get´s me severley damaged....

I tried putting the blast radius augment away and still the charge goes off directly in the gun during a fight even if I take some distance from the enemy.

There must be something wrong here....

I dont use it anymore cuz I always killed myself. That weapon is just useful if you are standing in one room shooting into another room. Else it's too dangerous for yourself :)

You're probably getting caught by the blast. Replace blast radius mod with something else, like another damage mod.
Personally I've found grip with eternal flame or surge more useful against the bosses.

Yes it´s the blast radius, it was too high. Eternal Flame ? What is that ? I am nearly arriving to the end of the extension " The Foundation".

It's a mod that you can get by throwing six televisions (specific ones with a fire burning on the screen) into the furnace in the maintenance sector. They're scattered around several areas in that sector - a quick google search will help you find them if needed.

The mod is exclusive to the Grip form and gives you a 100% chance to return ammo on hit which basically means you have infinite ammo while shooting at something you can reliably hit (like a large boss).

Anyway, Charge is a pretty easy win against almost any crowd (though Surge is typically better against air targets) but it has a tendency to track small bit of debris instead of the enemies that you'd prefer to shoot so you definitely need to be careful in hallways and smaller areas - especially with a radius mod. I'm also not a big fan of the AWE-exclusive Charge mod - it's 'neat' but doesn't actually add enough value to be worth trading in extra damage or some kind of ammo-sustain. Overall, Surge can do pretty much the same job in most situations and tends to be a little easier to control.

Yes Surge is a nice weapon but I tended to suicide even when high up in the air ....when I realized I put double area of explosion augments.....well.....It felt like a mini Nuke.

I am still not finished with that AWESOME GAME, I will try to get this Eternal Flame mod. Thanks!

You may set the location of its blasting point to close so the explode hurt you too.
BTW I got myself killed immediately after I got this weapon just because I wanted to try it and shoot at the nearest wall....
Set some distance, and enjoy standing still while killing the enemies.

The problem with charge is that even if you aim through obstacles it may detonate at those rather than go past them through the middle. I used it in the archive and there it was nice shooting from the side into the space in the middle but Surge was even better because you just need to aim close and can even detonate it in mid air close to hostiles. Or you can put charges in the path of hostiles and detonate when they are close.

Exactly. When you have an open Door in front of you, you might think the projectile will go through the opening....unfortunately in most of the situations, the opening of the door reacts like an invisible wall. As a result, the charge ammunition gets off directly in your face.

Idd, I even had that with office furniture that I couldnt shoot past even though an elephant could have walked through.

I have a similar problem with pierce, where I aim through a hole or shoot down from a ledge but while I have a free line of sight the shoot hits the wall/ledge instead because the shoot is not calculated from my view but from the view of the char who might have a small different angle.
