Hartman last fight - problems
I have absolutely no problem fighting the first part, where he has only his HP-bar.

But when he turns out the light, I turn the back on, shoot at him, but the he turns the light again off and regenerates hies shield.

That`s so unfair!

I read somewhere, that shooting his head prevents him from stomping on the ground and turning the lights on. Can`t confirm that at all. He just turns them off and regenerates to the fullest.

Any "easy" way to dealt with that boss?

Activate the one hit kill cheat.

When he starts talking about the dark, you can interrupt him by launching stuff at him.

go to options - gameplay, scroll down to "assist mode." pick your cheat.

For me...it seemed like he stopped shutting the lights out after the 3rd or 4th time doing it....and just lets you beat him down.

Grip & Charge were the two guns I used....grip for Hartman, and charge for the adds he spawns throughout the fight.

Dodge left or right when he indicates that he's about to spew all the rounds you shoot into him back at you. Utilize the various forms of cover to avoid his "missiles".

All the enemies & bosses have "tells" that give away their intentions....learn them, and you'll have an easier time.

I've grown to hate this phrase so much since my youth. I'm not saying you're a cry baby....but to me, anyone who uses this phrase does indeed *sound* like a cry baby. This phrase hasn't escaped my mouth since I was in my teens...and I'm now in my mid-40's.

You aren't supposed to be able to waltz in and wipe everything out in a matter of minutes. There has to be bottlenecks/difficulties at points, or there's no challenge....which usually translates to "no fun".

It's not "unfair". It's more along the lines of....it's taking *you* longer than you'd prefer to figure out the proper strategy....and you'd rather cave-in, resorting to "cheats" instead of figuring it out without the use of them.

Can anyone confirm this? Can I really stop him from removing the light?

Take your spin and shoot up from time to time. This will interrupt and damage it. Spin is the best weapon against him anyway. You can increase the damage with a mod and the spin can do it. Always flee to the side, so he can't grab you and suck you dry.

Lights out and his melee attack trigger certain sounds and animations. Learn this and you are safe. Cheats are really not necessary.

The first time the energy boxes jump out is scripted. This always happens. All other attempts by him can be prevented.

I finished Hartmann in the fourth attempt without YT or cheats.

When he is going to stomp, he basically repeats the exact animation he used to start the phase. He will stop in place and then start raising his arm high up in the air. If he starts to bring his arm down, he will finish the animation, so you have maybe a half second to a second to recognize what is happening, and then the rest of the second to pump damage into his head.

Now most importantly it isn't just hit the head, it is hit the head hard. So if you have launch ability upgraded a lot, throw any one object at his face specifically and if it hits, you will interrupt him. I don't know exactly how much is needed, I just know that I had launch pretty much maxed and anything hitting his head would interrupt him.

If you don't have launch up high enough or he doesn't get interrupted by any of your launches, then you are probably going to go with pierce and mods for damage while aiming, or headshot damage and make sure to shoot him in the face twice with that. It takes that much to interrupt him. Maybe only one shot but basically it takes a lot of damage to interrupt.

If you don't have that much damage, then your options are rush the batteries and hope he doesn't refill too much shield, or leave to level up and come back. (you might also respec your abilities to get enough launch strength.)

the first time he does it he gets a shield. use launch or 3 armor breaking mods on your second weapon. then switch to your main to kill him. worst case scenario grind out damage up mods, i only needed one cycle to kill him

2nd time i fought him he never turned out the lights during the second phase. You must be able to interrupt him, or he was distracted by my allies.

I found if I was fighting from the rooftops on either side of the room to be out of reach, he'd put out the lights over and over and over. When I stayed engaged with him in the middle of the room, he only managed to put out the lights once or twice.

I used spin with 3 damage mods and full-power 3x launch, I used the ranger and I kept seizing hiss enemies for extra support. For personal mods I used two that sped up energy recovery, and one that gave me 10% health on launch hits.

The recommendations here actually work!
First, I had major problems using the sniper weapon in the second phase, he kept turning the lights off. But simply using Spin with a class IV or V armor damage mod really drains his armor significantly. I stayed relatively close and used Spin and Launch ability altenately and he never turned off the lights again. Second phase was done in a minute.

throwing something at enemies depleting their shields to zero (90% of the time).
